Staples Campaign Wins Ovation Award

Back-to-School Season (BTS) represents a wonderful business opportunity for Staples. Over the years, the company’s leadership has expended great effort and resources to build this season – from a relationship, sales and media relations perspective.

With a dynamic team of staff and Agency consultants at Torchia Communications, Staples Canada developed and implemented a staggered, layered, bilingual and multiplatform Media Relations program that was anchored on researchinsights/expertise and quality materials. This complemented a robust marketing campaign that included direct marketing, media buys and in-store merchandising.

The PR program was anchored on service (to media), proactive and deliberate ongoing communication and a strong focus on visuals. The result was a campaign that surpassed expectations on every level.

On May 22, Staples Canada and  Torchia received a prestigious Ovation Award from IABC (Media Relations category) in recognition for the impressive coverage and tangible results of the 2013 campaign.
