Leadership comes with responsibility. Think of a good mother or father or a hero like Dr. Martin Luther King. Although we rarely dwell on it, part of that responsibility is selfless service. That includes active listening, patience, forgiveness and charity – for starters.
Pitching a story to media can be a daunting task. It always is, at first, but should not remain that way. The change comes when one considers the underlying significance and important role of a pitch.
Boy, our profession has changed so much over the last thirty years. The awareness of our field has increased significantly and consistently during that period but I would say that it has changed exponentially over the last 5 years and will continue to do so at an accelerated rate.
